As Asian American Recovery Services (AARS) celebrates its 25th year of service, we are proud to be recognized as one of the nation’s largest community based organizations providing substance abuse services to the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. As AARS marks this milestone in the organization’s history, we are humbly reminded of those who have played significant roles in enabling the agency to succeed as we have. In addition to civic leaders and visionaries of the community, we have also been extremely fortunate to have been supported by foundations and supporters in our local business communities.
Since its establishment in 1985, AARS (Tax ID 94-3007538) has offered innovative approaches to addressing substance abuse in the Asian and Pacific Islander communities. From its grassroots beginnings as a single program on Hayes Street in San Francisco, AARS now offers over 20 programs in three Bay Area counties. AARS’ programs are designed to enhance a person’s health and well-being by promoting respect for self, family and the community. It offers a continuum of services that coordinate outreach, education, intervention, outpatient, intensive outpatient and residential care. AARS reaches more than 10,000 individuals each year. Your support will enable us to maintain services for years to come.
